Safeguarding Commitment
At Little Woodlands Children’s Day Nursery, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority.
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care. Robust policies and procedures are in place to ensure children are protected at all times and our team receives regular safeguarding training to remain vigilant, knowledgeable and confident in recognising and responding to any concerns.
We work closely with families and external agencies to ensure children are supported and protected, always acting swiftly and appropriately should a concern arise. Safer recruitment procedures are strictly followed and all staff undergo enhanced DBS checks before working with children.
Our nursery provides a secure, nurturing environment where children feel safe, listened to and valued. We actively teach children about personal safety in an age-appropriate way, helping them to develop confidence, awareness and an understanding of boundaries.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and at Little Woodlands, it underpins everything we do.
