Safeguarding

• We follow all statutory safeguarding guidance in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
• All staff receive regular safeguarding training and understand their duty to protect children from harm.
• Ellie is our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and oversees all safeguarding matters within the nursery. Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are in place to ensure cover at all times.
• All safeguarding concerns are recorded and reported in line with local authority procedures.
• We work in partnership with parents and external agencies where appropriate to support children’s safety and wellbeing.
• Safer recruitment procedures are followed, including enhanced DBS checks for all staff.

Security Measures

• CCTV operates in all nursery rooms and outdoor areas for safeguarding and security purposes.
• Secure access control systems are installed throughout the building. Only authorised staff with registered fingerprint access can enter internal areas.
• All visitors must report to reception and sign in on arrival.
• Identification may be requested before children are released to authorised adults.
• A clear lockdown procedure is in place to prevent further access beyond reception in the event of an unauthorised entry.
• Regular risk assessments are carried out to maintain a safe and secure environment.
